Colour:
Colour on magazine front covers help attract readers and also identify the specific audience. If your trying to attract young people you would use very bright, vibrant colours that draws your eyes straight to it, however if your trying to attract the attention of older people you wouldn't use bright colours e.g neon pink you would use for example subtle greens to attract the specific readers. Magzines aimed at young people always have text in bold colours as that is what shows the audience if it is going to be an interesting fun issue or an issue that does not interest them. College magazines usually have quite demure colours as it is suitable for their target audience, but if it was a college magazine aimed at students if would have bright colours to attract their attention as that is one of the things that attracts students to a paticular magazine.
