Secondary magazine is aimed at teachers and you can tell that from the way the front cover has been designed. The title at the top is in clear letters but in quite a dark green, this is suitable for the target audience because you wouldn't want it in neon pink. The title for the secondary magazine seems to always be in green and is always placed at the top of the page, this could be because with it being at the top it draws you in more than if it was at the bottom. Also it is placed above image which is the most attractive bit of the front cover. The image is always placed in the middle of the cover to attract the audience. The image can either just take up the middle of the cover or it can take about 75% of the rest of the cover up. The magazine has a running theme of text and colour. The colour and text for the title is the same on each issue, also the stories at the top of the page are in red or pink and always in the same text. The stories are always placed at the top of the magazine so they are seen straightaway, they are put in red or pink because that is very striking against a plain white background. The text is always in quite a plain easy to read text which fits in with the target audience. The target audience is aimed at tecahers working in secondary schools but it has stories in their what can refer to teachers working at a primary school or college. To go with one of the stories they always put a little image next to it, this is to help the readers understand what the story is about. The date and issue number are always placed in the bottom right, they are put on the front cover to assist the reader in case they need to refer back to another issue. At the bottom left of the front cover in quite small text it says department for children, schools and families. This could be placed their as a sponsor or just to show the reader who the magazine is associated with.
