These all relate to students who are stuying A level English so therefore thay are appropriate stories, you could not have a story on it advertising the new fashion trends as it wouldn't be suitabl for what the magazine is aiming to advertise. Stories are one of the most important things on the front cover of a magazine as they are one of the aspects that make the reader but the magazine. Magazine editors put the stories which are the most interesting and eye catching on the front cover as it draws the readers in. They also put the stories which are most related to the paticular issue of the magazine on the front cover. Each magzine chooses stories specifically which are relevant to the issue of the magazine and what are suitable for the target audience.
