Prices of magazines:
Prices are there for one very obvious reason: to tell you how much the magazine is, but it can also tell the reader what the quality of the magazine is. Vogue and Elle magazine are examples of quite expensive magazines, with Vogue priced at £3.90 and Elle at £3.60. This represents the quality and how much information is in the magazine for the reader. Vogue and Elle provide the reader with interviews with celebrities, fashion and beauty advice and stories so therefore it is quite expensive. Whereas if you compare that to Secondary magazine which is free you can see that Vogue or Elle is a better quality magazine. Secondary magazine is for teachers and only has stories related to its target audience so therefore is not one of the most popular magazines. Price is a very important part of a magazine as it enables the reader to understand the quality of the magazine.
